Coding/Billing Services
Health Systems Management Network, Inc. provides Physician Practices
with a comprehensive review of coding and billing practices.
- Consistent with Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) suggestion
that small and large practices have a compliance plan in effect,
HSMN performs the following:
- Reviews bills, coding and the remittances to determine accuracy
and compliance.
- Spends time with office staff to determine if they have
an understanding of the billing and coding rules and to what
extent they need training.
- Provides on-site guidance to staff. Provides a working session
with the physician(s) on billing practices.
- Provides everything needed to satisfy the OIG requirements
for internal compliance with Medicare Regulation.
- HSMN sets up processes, orients staff and provides ongoing
consultation as questions arise on billing and coding issues
for the entire scope of the practice
- HSMN guides the staff in implementing ongoing monitoring
mechanisms.
