- Clinical documentation is at the heart of the Office of the
Inspector General (OIG) focus on Physicians. What HSMN can do
for you is:
- Provide a comprehensive service that carefully reviews clinical
documentation, especially those elements that support E&M
coding guidelines.
- Review the bills, the levels of service, the diagnoses,
and procedures performed in the documentation.
- Work with the individual physicians in the practice, by
specialty, to review with them their documentation practices
both in the office and in the hospital.
- “Round” with physicians to better understand how they arrive
at the levels of service for which they are billing.
